Small, specific tools that answer one question properly. Every rate is dated, every tool says what it does not cover, and nothing here collects your data.
I build software that reads financial paperwork and turns it into something you can file. Working on that, I kept hitting the same thing: the questions landlords and executors actually ask are narrow and specific, and most of what is online answers a broader question instead, or quotes a rate that changed two Budgets ago.
So these tools each answer one question, state the date the rules were checked, and refuse to guess where guessing would be wrong. The buy to let calculator will not give you an English stamp duty figure for a Scottish property. The capital gains calculator will not give you a number if the property was ever your home. That is deliberate.

I am not an accountant and GlideOps is not a firm of accountants. These are calculators applying published HMRC rules to figures you type in, not advice about your situation. For anything that actually matters, and certainly before you file or commit money, talk to someone qualified. More about who I am and what I do.
Last verified 16 September 2026. This is an estimate from a calculator, not tax advice, and GlideOps is not a firm of accountants. It uses 2026/27 rates for England and Northern Ireland and cannot see your full circumstances. Check anything that matters against HMRC guidance or an accountant before you file or commit money.
